The first step in justice for Aaron Juarez
On June 1, 2013 Aaron Juarez died as a result from being punched once in the face, knocked unconscious, causing him to fall backwards, hitting his head on the concrete parking lot. Aaron hit his head, resulting in severe head trauma from which he could not survive.
The man responsible for this is David Alvarez, 31 years old from Corpus Christi, Texas. David Alvarez was arrested on Thursday June 6 and had a bond set at $200,000. Mr. Alvarez's family and his attorney have requested a reduction of that bond. This petition has been started to ensure that doesn't happen.
Over 3,100 signatures were collected to support the denial of the bond reduction request. Alvarez was scheduled for a bond reduction hearing Thursday morning and his attorney Scott Ellison was going to ask 28th State District Judge Nanette Hasette to lower Alvarez’s $200,000 bail. But Ellison canceled the hearing earlier this week and didn’t reschedule it for another day, according to court staff.
Aaron Juarez's killer remains in jail.
